Happy Hour: Sugar Plum Fairy

Feb 18, 2011

Even though the holidays are over, I’m still drinking a cocktail that I learned to make at Christmas called the Sugar Plum Fairy.  The drink couldn’t be simpler.  It has just three simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Choya Plum Wine

Sake

Sugar

Ice

Directions

Chill a martini glass in the freezer.  Then lightly sugar the rim and set aside.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and equal parts sake and plum wine.  Shake lightly to combined.  Strain into martini glass and serve.

Couldn’t be easier, right?  So what should one wear when drinking a perfectly purple cocktail…

Jil Sander Modal Twist Dress (Net-a-Porter, $695)

Why, a perfectly purple dress, of course.  Just like the cocktail, this dress is sublime in its simplicity.

Happy Hour
