Happy Hour: Hot Fudge Stout

Feb 22, 2013

It’s been pretty chilly in D.C. lately.  Wrapped in a blanket, cozy on the couch, open that window and you will get a hissy fit like you have never witnessed before, chilly.  Such weather usually warrants a hot cocktail, but today, I have something different for you…

How about a hot fudge and stout float?  The good people at Better Homes and Gardens concocted this delicious, relaxed, man-approved dessert cocktail.  I recommend using chocolate stout instead of the pictured Guinness, however.  So why not rent a movie, curl up on the couch and grab a spoon?

Reiss Chunky Knit Cardigan ($127)

And for a night on the sofa (or a relaxed date night on the sofa?), how about a long chunky cardigan?  I also like this cable knit card from ASOS, this cardigan from LOFT and this Calvin Klein cardigan with a cool print available in sizes up to 16.

Have a great weekend! xoxo, Belle

One question about the State of the Blog….I used to go to Archives and see a lot of history, back to 2011 and even further. Now I can only get about 4 to 5 stories, and there is no button for accessing older posts. Same thing with the Home Page….I only get to about 4 to 5 stories, and there is no button for accessing older posts. Am I missing something?

Hi Liz! We’re still working out some of the kinks, but this is one we can fix, too. At the bottom of the 5 posts in archives, there should be a little << or >> link to check out the next page. I can work on making those more visible in the next update, but they should definitely be there when you’re looking through the archives.

Old Google references should now work, and fixing the image problems are next on my list!

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
