10th Commandment: May 17

May 17, 2013

Perforated leather is a hot trend for handbags, accessories and shoes.  I’ve been looking for a perforated leather tote to carry this summer, and I’ve found some good options.  How much I might spend on one, however, remains undecided.

In the under-$150 category, I also found this black satchel with a really cool dome/pyramid shape and this $25 taupe satchel.  Prefer a bit of color?  This Orla Kiely satchel is pretty and fun.  And if you’d rather just have a little clutch, this pleated clutch is a great choice.

Coach factory online has some cute options today in perforated leather. I just ordered the navy medium Candace carryall and am so glad that your post validates that trend! Can’t wait to carry it!

Madewell has some spectacular perforated leather shoes. I have the open toe sandals and am strongly considering the skimmers as well.

Just as an fyi- coach outlet has several of their perforated purses 50% off today on their website.

Coach! With its size we can use it for almost everyday!

Belle, I would also suggest Neiman Last call has a great perforated tote for $75 in a few great colors including a neutral, black, green, and a great orange color.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
