Aldo Migliarino Satchel ($60)

Since this is a short week, I’ll be mixing an Ask Belle week with an under-$100 week.  The 10th Commandment posts will all feature under-$100 items, and where possible the items in the Ask Belle posts will also be under-$100.  So let’s start with wallet-friendly handbags.

I love the metal details on this Aldo bag.  It’s also a great size–not too big, not too small.  It’s a great summer work bag.

For neutral bags, I also love this Sondra Roberts tote with different textures blended in, this white and black pleated satchel and this grey barrel satchel.  I also like this ostrich dome satchel, which comes in several neutral colors, and this black, buckle-accented bag.

If it’s color you are after, this red crossbody bag is adorbs, this woven satchel comes in a handful of colors, including a gorgeous green, is lovely and I may just have to buy this dome tote in ballet pink.

Nice bag! My only comment would be to take heed with Aldo products–I’ve had more than one fall apart on me within a few wears. In my experience their quality is really sub-par.

I can’t believe you featured that Sondra Roberts tote! I bought it a few weeks ago when Macy’s had their friends and family sale and I got it for $67. I had never purchased a Sondra Roberts bag before so I was basically counting on having to return it–I figured for that price the quality would be terrible. I’m really picky about my bags. But much to my delight, I love it! I get compliments on it probably more than any other work bag I use and it was so cheap! It’s a great summer bag and although you can tell the “leather” parts are not leather when you touch them, you really don’t see it just by looking. It looks like pure class, one of my best deals in a long time.

Lovely Aldo tote. And I am absolutely adoring ballet pink right now. Thought about getting that Ivanka Trump, but ended up with this domed satchel from Kate Spade in ballet pink. On sale at Gilt, obviously, because it is hard for me to drop $500 for a seasonal handbag.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
