Top: Geometric Eyelet Top ($118)

From Left, Necklace: Kendra Scott Tory Necklace ($52) Purse: Follie Folli Satchel ($225) Shoes: Everly Suede Pumps ($245) Top: Ralph Lauren Classic Shirt ($108) Pants: 1035 Trouser ($130)

From Right, Earrings: Pim + Larkin Cabochon ($18) Bag: Pour la Victoire Satchel ($445) Shoes: Butter Scoop Flats ($275) Blazer: 42nd Street Blazer ($270) Scarf: Barneys Fringed Scarf ($475) Jeans: Paige Skyline ($189)

For the Office.  I don’t usually recreate the retailers styling of an item, but I loved the idea of a crisp white shirt under the eyelet top.  Especially with the sleeves rolled up in J.Crew’s signature style.  However, if this look isn’t for you, try a tie neck blouse in white or perhaps a jewel tone, like navy.

I’ve mentioned the 1035 Trousers from J.Crew before, they’re really chic and comfortable.  However, if you prefer a skinny leg, I would try the drapey crepe trouser or the slimmer cotton chino.

For the accessories, I chose to mix purple in the necklace with teal on the shoes.  If you’re looking for a cheaper teal pump, these Ivanka Trump Natalie pumps are nearly identical and $130.  This would also be a great time to wear a patent red high heel and a gold necklace.

For the makeup, I would wear a purple nail, like OPI Casino Royale, and a black liquid eyeliner.  I’d also wear Black Honey lipstick. For the hair, I would wear it up in a Gibson roll.

For Casual Friday.  There are a lot of philosophies about white after Labor Day, mine is that I will still wear white but I will not wear white shoes.  So this white blazer works for me year round as long as I pair it with seasonally appropriate pieces like these skinny jeans or a black wool dress.

This Rag & Bone jacket is a steal at 50%-off, but if you need something under-$100, try this Calvin Klein or this Tahari.  Plus-size? This Jones NY jacket is lovely.  Petite? Try this Ann Taylor jacket.

I chose this orange scarf and coordinating orange necklace because orange is having a moment in my wardrobe.  If you like the shade but not the price, try this Echo crinkle scarf for $38.

I really like the navy bag and the shoes, but the price is pretty outrageous on a mid-range salary.  I found these Nine West Speakup shoes for under-$100 and this ostrich embossed tote for $60.

For the hair, I would wear it in a ponytail with a teased crown.  For the makeup, I would wear a gold shadow (Stila Oasis, the best) and rose lip tint.

Oh dear, Belle, that Rag & Bone blazer has a mesh back! Ha, it’s actually pretty cool but not for the office.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

Before we start today’s reader questions, I wanted to take a moment to talk a bit about mental health. For those who experience mental health challenges — whether occasionally or frequently — talking about our struggles is a double-edged sword.
