1. Gold Ice Zig Rings ($28) and Feline Triad Ring ($26) // 2. Daring Faux Ostrich Clutch ($20) // 3. Topshop Marnie 2 Flats ($45) and Marian Embossed Flats ($30) // 4. Zara Checked Scarf ($40) // 5. Pim + Larkin Three Layer Bracelet ($11) // 6. Contrasted Panel Belt ($25) // 7. Jin Soon Obsidian Lacquer ($34) // 8. Wood’d Phone Case ($47)

One. Baublebar has some great rings on sale right now.  These Zig Zag rings are my favorite, but their Feline ring has even this committed dog-person feeling a bit catty.  I also like this Pave Duo Ring, it packs a lot of punch without being too much.

Two. Envelope clutches are one of my favorite pieces.  This printed-ostrich clutch would make a great addition to any wardrobe.  I also like this ostrich minaudière with a black jewel clasp from DSW.  If you’re looking for a larger tote, this Sydney Love dome satchel comes in both black and grey for under-$50.

Three. Topshop has a lovely collection of unique flats for sale.  I like these animal-print, ankle-strap flats.  Dolce Vita has similar flats in both snakeskin/black and black/tan.

As for the metallic slip-ons, I love the bronze-y color and the texture.   These dalmatian-printed suede slippers also caught my eye.

Four. Ever since I spotted this pin, I’ve been obsessed with plaid scarves.  And once I saw the way the fine folks at Zara styled this blue and black number, I had to have it.

Five. This navy and matte gold bracelet is fantastic.  $11?  Yes, please.

Six.  What wouldn’t this black Mango belt go with?  Wear it over dresses to define the waist or cinch cardigans and blazers closed.  Looking for more cool belts?  This metal bar belt from Topshop caught my eye, as did this WCM suede bow belt.

Seven. Black nail polish is hot for fall, and this Jin Soon Obsidian polish is pretty fantastic.  I love the multi-colored sparkles.

Eight.  I am loving these wooden iPhone covers.  They’re chic but sophisticated.  I love the pattern in this one, but if you’d like a more subtle look this dark woodgrain might be more up your alley.

I’m not sure I’m brave enough yet for black nail polish! But maybe navy??? Love the wooden Iphone covers. So chic.

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Ask the Editor: Vol. IV, No. Eighteen

Before we start today’s reader questions, I wanted to take a moment to talk a bit about mental health. For those who experience mental health challenges — whether occasionally or frequently — talking about our struggles is a double-edged sword.
