Shopbopsale-450x350

It’s time again for one of the best sales on the Interwebs, the Shopbop Friends and Family sale.  A great opportunity to score mid-range designer goods at a reduced price and get your closet ready for the warmer weather.  Here are the pieces that caught my eye:

I never miss a chance to stock up on discounted Hanky Panky.  Even if I just grab a few low-rise thongs and a couple of their new-ish Bare thongs, I keep my intimates drawer stocked.  And this time, I picked up a few pair of the Hanky Panky seamless boy shorts, perfect for those of you who dislike thongs as much as you dislike VPL.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new spring bag, and I think this Rebecca Minkoff Jules Satchel in tan might be the one.

A handful of dresses grabbed my attention, and apparently, I’m in the mood for jersey.  This Ziggy slub-tee maxi dress from Velvet is a great summer staple.  I also adore this ruched, knee-length jersey dress from Monrow.  And this Bailey 44 dress in black or white with a cut-out back is a showstopper (seriously, do not miss this one).

If you’re in the market for new shoes, these $89 Carolee wedges from Steven are amazingly chic.  I wore these Joie two-band, tan and metallic sandals to death last summer.  And if you need new commuter flats, adidas by Stella McCartney has these lightweight, blush-colored ballerina flats.

For blouses, I love this Club Monaco Diana spotted shirt and this $93 Lanston shirt with a drape front.

Lastly, I’d like to add some simpler jewelry pieces to the rotation.  This Jules Smith Boyfriend Bangle is as simple as it gets.  And this Jennifer Zeuner Mini-Wishbone necklace would make an excellent graduation or Mother’s Day gift.

  1. Despite the fact that you have been praising Hanky Panky for years now, I never bothered to try them until Gilt City had a deal. I wish I had done it years ago. Brilliant.

Nice roundup. I can’t believe what a great sale it is! It’s only too bad they don’t have the silver Mini M.A.C. from Rebecca Minkoff I’ve been craving.

Do you think one could wear a bra with the Bailey 44 dress? It is amazing and I could wear it to work with a blazer or cardigan I bet.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
