7 for all Mankind Gwenevere Jeans ($99) // WHBM Off-the-shoulder Sweater ($53) // Garbo Drop Earrings ($36) // Sam Edelman Dora Pumps ($59)

Casual parties can be the most challenging to dress for.  You want to look fun and festive, but relaxed.  This outfit mixes a pair of distressed jeans with a chic sweater and party-ready accessories.

I like these 7 for all Mankind jeans, and I love the sale price.  I also love these Old Navy Rockstar jeans in ripped-up black.  The ON jeans also come in plus-size.

This off-the-shoulder sweater brings a bit of glamour to an otherwise basic outfit.  Wear it to work with a pencil skirt or a pair of wide leg trousers.

For the shoes, I love a colored high heel.  These red slingbacks are fab.  You could also try a glitter heel like these ASOS Pixie heels or these Sam Edelman Dea heels in navy sparkle.

The earrings are from Baublebar, which has a fab selection of costume jewelry.  Eloquii also has a lovely selection of statement jewelry pieces.

I love the sweater! I know suede isn’t ideal for snow, but these (https://www.solesociety.com/cassia-mustard.html) Sole Society heels in red are perfect for holiday parties! I wore them to a work party and got constant compliments, and they are so comfy!

I love the outfit suggestions! These are what drew me to the blog years ago, and are still my favorite posts. Thanks!

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
