Tracy Reese Skirt ($90)

I don’t usually advocate for the hi-lo hem, but I keep looking at the skirt.  I think the more structured, bell shape gives it a tailored look.  I also like the higher waist as an alternative to the traditional cut.

Not feeling the hi lo, but want a black skirt that’s not a pencil?  Try a flared cut or perhaps, a full midi-skirt.  Some pleats might also be nice.  Maybe a slit skirt is right up your alley– side-slit for the conservative woman and front slit for something more daring.  Or try a tulip shape for a fuller skirt that still has a bit of sleekness to it.

Plus size? This flare skirt and this pleated skirt are both good options.  Petite? I like the flared band on this skirt or this inexpensive full skirt.

I’m not generally a fan of something as uber trendy as the hi-lo, but I like this one. It’s subtle and flattering.

    Agreed. That is really pretty.

I agree 100% with Belle’s assessment! Gorgeous skirt with that lovely bell shape.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
